This heavily cast bronze Jewelry box was made in France in the late 19th century and is made in the form of a medieval domed topped coffer.
It is superbly detailed with flowers and decorative strapwork cast with deep relief.
It has a carrying handle at the top and an ornate early style lock and hinged hasp.
The lid opens to reveal the interior which has its original velvet lining.
