This most and unusual and rare coffee cabinet cup and saucer was produced at the English H And R Daniel Porcelain Factory. It is richly decorated over a dark puce coloured ground both internally and externally with finely painted floral panels within ornate urn shaped gilt frames separated with several birds on leafy branches and ornate boarders which are painted in both raised and smooth gilding. The cup has most unusual raised feet in the form of flower heads which remarkably are all in excellent original condition as are both the cup and saucer with almost no signs of ware to the gilding. A fine example from a rare English factory, Cira 1835
