This fine classically shaped urn stylised Mintons cream tureen stands on a flared foot with a finely detailed stem. The main body is of a broad shallow design with a pair of interwoven handles to each side and a separate lid with a twisted foliate handle which has a cut out for a spoon to rest. This rare piece comes with its original stand . All three pieces are beautifully hand-painted with rural landscapes with country houses and castles on a royal blue and white ground with superb hand-painted gilding with a foliate design. All in very good condition, Circa 1840
