This fine example of the folk art tradition of sailors building these complicated models within bottles. This example has been built within a three sided spirit bottle and is unusual because it has two vessels within the same bottle. Both beautifully detailed set in full sail on a well modelled blue sea. The large vessel a four mast early 19th century sailing ship and the other a smaller twin mast. In excellent condition, circa 1930
