This stylish oval form orange-brown glass vase date to circa 1900 and is most likely from the Le Gras factory, France. They were renowned for this style of item with fine enamelling. This unusual vase is superbly decorated in thick enamels with stems of flowering white lilies with orange centres. The stems are in various shades of green highlighted with a gilt edge. The neck has a lace-like gilt boarder which cascades down to the flowers and the foot is also decorated with a splattered gold technique. On the underside, there is a ground and polished manufacturing pontil.
