This unusual fine quality Italian bronze depicts an 18th-century rural young man and woman dressed typically for the time. Both obviously having had a good time and far too much to drink whilst still trying to dance and not having much success in looking alert and in time with the music. A most unusual and quirky piece. In good condition with a dark brown patination and mounted on to the original red/ brown puddle stone polished marble base.
