This interesting tribal Angola carving depicts a seated tribal female pregnant figure sitting on a naïve stool with a vessel in one hand. This is most likely a fertility figure designed to bring good fortune on its owners, This interesting piece has good rich colour and dry patination. On the underside, there is an old hand typed collectors label which reads tjokne stam koningsbeeld zaire/Angola 7/96 No 3000.
