A stylish and elegant pair of Raj period Indian specimen flower vases made from high-grade Indian silver. These decorative pieces have a wavy flared rim and tapering trumpet-shaped bodies which have been beautifully worked with figures of goddesses in different poses entwined with foliate scrolls. This type of decoration is highly skilled workmanship which involves raising, chasing and engraving working from both inside and out. Below there is a border with an acanthus leaf design. The vases are supported on narrow moulded stems with a large stepped foot with a matching acanthus leaf border. The weight of this pair of vases is 295 grams.
