This highly decorative and impressive 19th century Indian carved padauk wood cabinet is profusely carved with fine foliate detail throughout.
The figured top has a raised decorative back panel. Below there is a shaped frieze with acanthus leaf carving. The pair of central doors are bow fronted with arched panels and pierced carving of trailing foliage flanked by decorative pilasters with similar arrangement of flat fronted doors and matching pilasters to each side.
The shaped plinth has a carved foliate design which stands on decorative feet carved in the form of seated lions.
