This unusual glass vase was most likely made at the French Legras factory. The vase is square in shape and made from clear glass with a frosted finish that is decorated with a foliate blue printed design that forms the background decoration. Certain areas have then been highlighted with beautiful thick enamel work in delicate colours highlighting the flowers and stems. The rim is finished in gold leaf. The decoration is painted over two sides and the vase is intended to be displayed diagonally.
This piece is in good condition with no damage, circa 1900.
