This exquisite small Chinese green hardstone carved figure depicts a water buffalo. It is very well carved showing good composition and a very natural proportion with good detail to the face, horns, feet and tail. This is difficult to achieve in a hard stone of this type. It has its original hand carved wooden stand which is stylish and well-crafted. It has four pockets carved into the top which the buffalo’s feet securely locate into displaying this delicate piece to great advantage.
