This elegant superb quality English wine ewer is of a classical shape. It was made in the Victorian period, probably in Stourbridge. It is hand blown from clear glass with an applied handle and a large stepped foot with a star cut design underneath. This beautiful piece has been intricately acid etched with a highly decorative floral design which has multiple flowers, buds and leaves interlinked with trailing stems, probably geraniums which cover the neck and body. When observed in a good light and particularly filled with claret as contrast the fine workmanship stands out and looks fantastic. In good condition with no damage.
