This impressive piece has very good proportions. It is high on the leg and narrow in depth giving a very elegant look to this charming piece of country furniture. The top is made from two boards of well figured book matched solid oak and is further enhanced with the original shaped upstand at the back. Below there is a deeply moulded edge. There are three large drawers each fitted with a pair of brass swans neck handles with an oval escutcheon plate. Below there is a shaped frieze that is supported on tall plain square legs. This piece has good colour and patina, circa 1780
