This most appealing bonze study of a leaping goat is superb quality. The detail is exceptional having been hand finished with fine chasing to emphasize the hair texture and the animals' features. The goat is silvered plated and in contrast, is mounted onto a naturalistic bronze base with a dark green patination. This is raised onto a figured marble plinth. In good condition with minor chips to the marble.Circa 1850
