This large bold and decorative pair of mid-19th-century candlesticks are most unusual as they are in the form of slightly earlier Empire pieces with additional decorative cast detail being enhanced with medieval towers, knights helmets, and Gothic tracery.
The sconces and lower collars are gilt.
This pair of candlesticks are in good original condition (one has a small manufacturing repair to the bronze base).
