A most exotic Georgian fine porcelain cabinet cup and saucer were made at the Worcester Porcelain Factory of Chamberlain. It is pattern number 298 and dates to the early 19th century. It is a masterpiece of their art, finely painted in rich Imari colours with exquisite gilding. This cup and saucer is part of a rare service which was a special order from Sir James Yeo 1772 – 1818. Unfortunately, he died on a passage to England from Jamaica in 1818. This order was completed by the factory after his tragic death. A rare item in perfect condition and a superb addition to your collection.
