This very decorative and unusual small cabinet has been made to a very high standard. It is constructed from hardwood and has four graduated drawers which are a very precise fit as are the lidded top sections. The cabinet is beautifully finished in red lacquer which has a very pleasing patina. The whole of the outer surfaces are decoratively bronze mounted with equisetevely detailed mounts in the form of flower heads and birds. The cabinet is further enhanced with ornate strengthening brackets, corner mounts, a graduated set of drawers plus an additional top lifting handle. All of these decorative bronze mounts are hand cut and finished with superb engraved detailing. This very pleasing small cabinet is in very good original condition. Circa 1880
