A fine Derbyshire black slate and specimen marbles obelisk with thermometer
A very interesting and eye catching mid 19th century Derbyshire black slate obelisk with a stepped rectangular base and a double section spire both of which are beautifully inlaid with a mosaic of geometric shaped specimen coloured marbles and stones. The top section is fitted with a glass thermometer with an engraved scale. This splendid decorative obelisk is in very good original condition. There are a few minute edge chips that are barely noticeable to the eye.
