This very interesting and robustly constructed scale model of a 18th century Spanish canon is made from steel and beech and has more detail than most examples, with large hand made wooden wheels with steel rims and a heavily cast steel canon mounted on a beech frame with steel bindings. At the rear is a box for canon balls and a separate loading ram with brass fittings. This piece is original and has a lightly rusted distressed finish which indicates it having been stored in a loft or barn but gives an interesting look and character.
