A Large 19th Century Indian White Metal Bowl

This late 19th century Indian footed bowl with a wavy-edged rim has been beautifully made in white metal with a high copper content which gives an unusual pleasing colour. It is finely decorated with hand engraved foliate borders and a central continuous scene depicting big game hunting with figures hunting tigers, lions and deer on foot and also riding on an elephant.
This bowl is in excellent condition. Circa 1890
