This superb English Arts and Crafts turned goblet is signed on the underside J Hill and dated 1909. It is made from multiple layers of different cut timbers which have been glued together in a conforming pattern prior to turning this marvelous goblet. The different specimen timbers form a geometric pattern which runs through the cup, baluster and foot which have been formed on a lathe to elegant proportions. This piece has a rich colour and patina. Circa 1909
