This unusual piece was made in France in the late 19th century.
It has a platform base veneered in rosewood with brass beading and a carved and painted edge.
It stands on turned and carved feet with brass castors.
The decorative legs are carved and gilded in the form of three storks which supports the top having a carved and painted boarder with the centre book matched in rosewood veneers.
