A Fine Freestanding Robert Adam Style Desk

This highly impressive freestanding desk is made in mahogany to an 18th century Robert Adam design. It was made in the late 19th century by the Irish firm of cabinet makers M. Butler of Dublin. It is a very luxurious piece with highly decorative carved detail to most surfaces, typical of the Adam style.
The desk is enhanced by a superb hand tooled leather writing surface which has a detailed design embossed into it.
M. Butler was well known for their high quality copies of 18th-century furniture and are highly collected.
