This most unusual decorative oil painting depicts a romantic meeting between a young boy and a girl fairy in a moonlit setting overlooked by two others. This very vibrant artwork is painted on canvas which is laid on to a board. Much of the detail is painted in gold leaf which glistens and reflects in the light. It is signed DM Jones and is presented in a very ornate pierced foliate decorated giltwood and gesso frame. Circa 1900
