This fine and rare example of a mid 18th century Chippendale period small and well proportioned serpentine fronted chest of drawers is made from rich mahogany with a pleasing mellow colour. It stands on ogee bracket feet, above there are four slender graduated drawers with original fancy swan-necked cast brass handles with traces of the original gilding, centered with matching keyhole escutcheon plates. The drawers are oak lined and run smoothly. Above there is a pull out brushing slide for folding and brushing clothes. The top is beautifully patinated and has a simple moulded edge.
This chest of drawers is in good condition.
