This beautifully carved walnut study of a 19th century St Bernard mountain rescue dog in full kit with a spirit barrel around its neck and a blanket strapped on to its back has been produced with fine detail.
It was made in Germany at the end of the late 19th century and is in good condition with a rich patina and colour.
