This large scale terracotta study of Mercury, the Roman god of commerce, eloquence, travellers , communication, messengers and trickery.
It is in the classical seated pose holding a bird and is modelled in light brown clay.
Also, modelled to a good scale and detail and probably made in Belgium circa 1900
